Radiation induced sarcoma

Registry

The STBSG started in 2002 to register patients with 'radiation-induced' or 'postradiation sarcoma'. Up to now more than 210 patients have been recorded and a translational research project was granted . Results fromnt the database and the results of a molecular profile opbtained in these sarcomas have been presented suring the Meeting of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society , Barcelona, November 2003 and during ASCO, Orlando, 2005

The groups maintains its effort to contribute to the research of tumor development and treatment of patients anfd therefore the register is still apoen for patient accrual and sampling of representative paraffin tissue blocks.
