Fachkreise: Epithelioid Sarcoma Digital Expert Panel

The conference will be a continuation of the two digital expert meetings that were successfully held in 2021 and 2023.

The event is organized by the following patients’ organizations:

and will be moderated by

  • Prof. Dr. Dr. Thomas Grünewald, Head of the Division for Translational Pediatric Sarcoma Research at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Hopp Children's Cancer Center (KiTZ) Heidelberg and
  • Dr. Sandro Pasquali, Clinician Scientist at the Sarcoma Service and the Molecular Pharmacology of Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milano.

We also look forward the two keynotes by

  • Dr. Carine Ngo from Institute Gustave Roussy in France talking about „Multi-omics profiling identified two epithelioid sarcoma molecular subtypes with distinct signaling and immune characteristics“ and
  • Dr. Alex Kentsis from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the USA talking about „Developmental Oncology: On the origins of epithelioid sarcomas and considerations for their rational epigenetic therapies

The meeting is exclusively for experts in sarcoma research, treating clinicians and scientists from related disciplines. This year it’s not open to pharma companies.

It provides a forum for the exchange and discussion of current research aspects including new therapeutic approaches around epithelioid sarcoma. The event promotes networking and discussion among experts and lays the foundation for future international collaborations.

The Epithelioid Sarcoma Digital Expert Panel 2026 will take place on 2nd and 3rd of February and will be held digitally, from 14:00-18:45h Central European Time (UTC+1) on both days.
